About Greens Norton House
Greens Norton House is a large farmhouse just outside the pretty village of Greens Norton in Northamptonshire, two miles from Towcester and set in around two and a half acres of mature gardens with beautiful views across rolling fields. It sleeps up to twenty-five across the main house and an apartment that can be added for a supplement, holds a Gold award and takes up to three dogs. Silverstone circuit is under seven miles away, which makes it a natural base for the Grand Prix.
Nine bedrooms sit in the main house, two of them on the ground floor sharing a wet room, with seven upstairs, one en-suite, and two further family bathrooms; a first-floor apartment adds two more bedrooms at additional cost. There are several seating areas including a lounge, a snug and a morning room, with large televisions in the lounge and snug carrying Disney+, Netflix, Amazon Prime and Sky. The owners have transformed the sublevel into a wine cellar with a bar area and seating, and there is a games room with a pool table, air hockey and an arcade machine. A large bright dining room seats up to twenty-eight, and the kitchen is fully stocked with an Aga and a large electric oven. A wood-burning stove, boot room, board games, wifi, towels and bed linen are all provided, along with a cot and high chair.
Outside there is a six-seater hot tub, a patio with furniture for alfresco dining, a children's play area, picnic tables, badminton, boules, croquet, football goalposts and a paddock with plenty of space for garden games, plus an electric car charging point and parking for twelve cars.
Greens Norton has a lovely village pub a short walk away, a well-stocked village shop and a butcher, with plenty more good country pubs a short drive off. Towcester is two miles and Northampton has the nearest station. Silverstone and the Silverstone Museum are close, along with the Porsche Experience Centre, Althorp House, Canons Ashby, Castle Ashby Gardens, Delapre Abbey, Evenley Wood Garden, Rookery Open Farm and the Canal Museum. The owners take stag and hen parties, birthdays, anniversaries, reunions and corporate stays.
