About Exmoor Barn
Tumbledown Barn is a barn conversion at Luckett Farm in rural North Devon, near Knowstone on the edge of Exmoor. It sleeps six in three bedrooms, every one with its own en-suite, and holds a five-star rating with a Gold award from Visit England. It takes up to three dogs for a charge, and it has its own private hot tub in a courtyard.
The finish is what people notice: sleek tile floors, a warming woodburner, and stunning rural views. The open-plan living area is spacious, with a large lounge with ample comfortable sofas, a flat-screen television and the woodburner, a dining area and a roomy, well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, freezer and washing machine.
The ground-floor bedroom is a spacious king-size, which can be made up as a twin if you ask when booking, with an en-suite bathroom and a door opening straight outside. Two further double bedrooms upstairs each have their own en-suite facilities. A high chair is available, and bed linen and towels are provided.
Outside is a private enclosed courtyard with the hot tub, a patio garden, a barbecue and distant country views. Parking is ample and there is an electric vehicle charging point, available at a charge per vehicle per charge. The landscape here suits hikers and nature lovers, with moorland, coastal panoramas, rolling hills and valleys, and the Two Moors Way passing through the region; there is a Michelin-starred pub a short walk away. Exmoor National Park is on the doorstep for days out, the coast and good beaches are within a thirty-mile radius, Tiverton is thirteen miles, and Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park and the Big Sheep are family options.
