Bluebell Lodge sits in grassy fields beside the lakes at Stretton Lakes in Rutland, with lovely lake views and a high-quality stylish interior. The stylish kitchen is well equipped with utensils and crockery along with a washing machine, dishwasher and microwave, and there is a grand dining table seating six, a hairdryer and a music station.
The bedrooms are a king-size with an en-suite shower room looking out over the surrounding countryside, and a twin with tranquil views, plus a family bathroom with a bath, shower, basin and WC and luxury handmade soap. Exposed beams run through, and everything is on one level with ground-floor bedrooms and bathrooms and level access once inside, though there are steps to the property. A cot, high chair, welcome pack, towels and bed linen are provided.
Outside is the private hot tub, a garden and a barbecue lodge, with parking adjacent to the property. Stretton Lakes sits in 120 acres of unspoilt farmland, with mallards on the water, carp splashing about and deer if you are quiet. Six lakes are stocked with mirror carp, ghost carp, roach, rudd, tench and bream, and there is a tennis court on site for guests.
A pub sits in the nearby village with plenty more good country pubs in the area. Rutland Water, seven miles off, offers biking, walking and watersports, and the elegant riverside town of Stamford is nine miles away for dining and shopping. Oakham, fifteen miles, has its restored castle, independent shops and cafes and the nearest station. Barnsdale Gardens, Normanton Church, Rutland Water Nature Reserve, the Rutland Falconry and Owl Centre, Rutland Farm Park, Aqua Park Rutland, Burghley House, Rockingham Castle and Uppingham are all within reach.
