Snowdrop Lodge stands in the 120 acres of farmland and woodland at Stretton Lakes in Rutland, close to the village of Stretton, with woodland around it and splendid lake views. It sleeps four in two bedrooms with two bathrooms, holds a four-star rating with a Gold award and has a private outdoor hot tub. The lodge does not take pets.
The lounge is comfortable and built for relaxing, with leather sofas, a flat-screen television and hi-fi equipment with an iPod dock. The kitchen is fully equipped including utensils and crockery, with a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, microwave and freezer, and the dining area seats up to six. Central heating runs throughout with underfloor heating in the lounge.
The master bedroom has a luxurious king-size bed and an en-suite shower room, and the second is a twin, with a family bathroom completing the accommodation. Exposed beams run through, and everything is on one level with ground-floor bedrooms and bathrooms. A cot, high chair, welcome pack, towels and bed linen are provided, and the lodge is decorated with a tree at Christmas.
Outside is a patio for a barbecue or simply sitting out with the views, plus the hot tub, a garden and a barbecue lodge, with parking adjacent. Six fishing lakes on site are well stocked with mirror and common carp, roach, rudd, tench and bream, which puts anglers firmly in their element, and there is a tennis court for guests too.
