About Little Cheriton House
Little Cheriton House is an elegant Georgian-style manor house down a quiet dead-end lane on the outskirts of South Cheriton in Somerset, standing in its own grounds with stunning countryside views. It sleeps sixteen as standard, or up to eighteen using two additional pull-out beds, across seven bedrooms with five bathrooms. It holds a Gold award and takes one dog strictly by arrangement.
The living spaces are built for a large group. There is a spacious lounge with ample comfortable sofas and a 55-inch smart television for a film night, a large elegant formal dining room seating up to eighteen, and a spacious, well-equipped kitchen diner. A boot room takes the walking gear.
The seven bedrooms are generous: one with a sumptuous emperor bed, three with king-size beds, a twin, and two rooms each with three single beds, served by five luxurious bathrooms. Two cots and a high chair are available, and a welcome pack, towels and bed linen are provided. Country views are a feature of nearly every room.
Outside is a private garden with an outdoor dining area for eating alfresco in some very good rural surroundings, a charcoal barbecue, and a private outdoor hot tub to the side of the house. Parking is on site. The nearest pub is under a mile away, and Matt's Kitchen and At the Chapel in Bruton, the Kings Arms at Charlton Horethorne and the Orchard Inn at Galhampton are all recommended locally. Templecombe has the nearest station and Wincanton is close. Shaftesbury is about fourteen miles away for shopping and dining, Glastonbury with its Tor is twenty-three, and Wells, with its cathedral, twenty. Cranborne Chase is close by for country walks and wildlife, the Mendip Hills, Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge are within about an hour, and the Fleet Air Arm Museum and Longleat make good days out. The owners take hen parties.
