About All Seasons Cottage Breaks - Corner Cottage

Corner Cottage is a stone-built holiday cottage in Saxmundham, a market town in the Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Landscape. The building dates from the 18th century and retains Georgian character, with exposed beams and original features throughout. Arranged as a single-storey, one of three self-contained units at the property, it has two bedrooms and one bathroom and sleeps between two and four guests. Children are welcome, as is one dog. The cottage holds a Visit England gold award.

Accommodation is on the ground floor, with level access to the property and level floors throughout, which suits guests with limited mobility, although doorways are not wide enough for wheelchairs. Both the bedroom and bathroom are on this level; sleeping includes one double bed. The living area is traditional in feel, with period decor and beamed ceilings, and the dining table seats four. The kitchen is fitted with a dual fuel range cooker with double oven, combi oven and hob, along with a dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. Central heating, digital TV and wifi are provided, as are bed linen, towels and a welcome pack. Board and card games and a selection of books are kept in the cottage. Outside there is a patio for sitting out. Free parking is available and on-street parking is usually possible.

The cottage suits couples, small families and walkers or birdwatchers exploring the Suffolk coast. Saxmundham has shops, a supermarket, restaurants and cafes within a mile, and a dog-friendly pub and dog-friendly walks are within a short walk. The railway station at Saxmundham makes car-free travel straightforward. Aldeburgh lies about eight miles away, and Southwold, Woodbridge, Framlingham, Orford, Thorpeness and Walberswick are all within roughly half an hour's drive. RSPB Minsmere, Snape Maltings, Dunwich Heath and Beach, Framlingham Castle, Orford Ness and Sutton Hoo are among the places to visit, while Beccles gives access to boating on the Broads. Longer days out take in Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Flatford Mill and Dedham Vale. A dog-friendly beach lies within ten miles.
