The Escape is a large five-bedroom house in the small village of Two Dales, between Matlock and Bakewell and just outside the Peak District National Park in the Derbyshire Dales. It sleeps ten, holds a Gold award, and has a luxury sheltered hot tub and a separate outside games room.
The living space is large and modern with room to seat all ten comfortably and a full Sky package, and the kitchen is big and well equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, freezer and coffee maker. A separate dining room has a table large enough for all ten to eat together, which is the thing most group houses of this size get wrong.
The five bedrooms are two with king-size beds, two twins, one of them on the ground floor, and a bunk room. Two of the bedrooms are en-suite and both of those bathrooms have jacuzzi baths, with a main family bathroom upstairs and a downstairs cloakroom as well. Exposed beams run through, and a cot, high chair, welcome pack, towels and bed linen are provided.
Outside there is a patio garden with a barbecue, the sheltered hot tub, and a games room with a seven-foot pool table and a dartboard, plus private parking for around five cars with an electric car charging point.
Two Dales is an attractive village in the Derbyshire Dales, ideal for country walks, with a pub in the village. Matlock is two miles away with the nearest station, and Bakewell is a short drive. The Peak District National Park is close, along with Chatsworth House, Carsington Water, the Heights of Abraham, Masson Mills, Cromford Mills and Canal, Crich Tramway Village, Gulliver's Kingdom, Hardwick Hall, Bolsover Castle and Matlock Farm Park. The house suits family holidays, getaways with friends and special celebrations, and the owners take hen and stag parties.
