About Stanton House

Stanton House is a honey-coloured Cotswold stone barn conversion, part of the Flagstone Farm group of holiday cottages two miles from Stow-on-the-Wold and set within twelve acres of countryside and woodland. It sleeps twelve, or up to fourteen by arrangement, in six bedrooms with five bathrooms, holds a Gold award and takes two dogs.

The ground floor has a generous open-plan living area with a lounge and a dining area seating up to sixteen, a well-equipped country-style kitchen, and two romantic four-poster bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms. The first floor holds a double, a twin, a bathroom and a separate WC, and the second floor two more twins, both en-suite. There is a 52-inch flat-screen television with Freeview and a DVD player, along with a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and freezer.

The cottage comes equipped with bed linen, two sets of towels and tea towels, plus a starter pack of tea, coffee, washing powder, washing-up liquid and dishwasher tablets. A cot and high chair are available on request, and a welcome pack is provided.

Outside is an enclosed private garden with a sitting-out area, hardwood patio furniture and a barbecue, along with a tennis court and a games room with a snooker table, table tennis and table football shared across the site. All the cottages have easy walking access, and the twelve acres of countryside and woodland around are quiet and rich in wildlife. Stow-on-the-Wold, two miles off, is a beautiful market town, and the Plough at Ford, the Halfway House at Kineton, the Fox at Oddington and the Old Butchers in Stow are all worth a drive. Moreton-in-Marsh has the nearest station and Cheltenham is eighteen miles, with Blenheim Palace, the Cotswold Falconry Centre, the Cotswold Motoring Museum and the Cotswold Wildlife Park all nearby. The house takes weddings and corporate stays.
