Rosehaven is a six bedroom holiday house on the Pudleston Court estate in Herefordshire, sleeping twelve and rated five stars with a Gold award. It comes with its own private indoor swimming pool, kept at a comfortable twenty six to twenty eight degrees in a building a short stroll from the house. The setting is nearly fifty acres of parkland, gardens and meandering paths, quiet and properly rural, with views over fields and farmland. This is a house designed for a group to occupy together rather than a cottage stretched to fit one, and it suits family gatherings and special occasions particularly well. Two well behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.
The open plan lounge is generously proportioned, with deep leather sofas, a wood burning stove and a smart television for film nights. The kitchen is fully equipped to a high standard, with granite worktops, a range cooker, microwave, American style fridge freezer, wine fridge, coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine, and the adjoining dining area seats twelve with garden views. The six bedrooms are arranged as two ground floor rooms with king size beds; a king size room with a generous wet room; a super king suite with its own bathroom; a further king size en suite; and a double with an elegant en suite containing a roll top bath. Underfloor heating runs throughout, there is air conditioning for warm spells, and wifi, digital television, towels, bed linen and a welcome pack are all provided, along with a cot, high chair and stairgate.
Outside, a secluded garden holds a covered dining area for twelve, a gas barbecue and a chiminea, which between them make long summer evenings outdoors straightforward whatever the Herefordshire weather decides to do. The garden is enclosed and secure, useful with children or dogs. Free off road parking for six cars sits adjacent to the house with an electric car charging point. Around the house, the estate offers scenic trails, lakeside walks, landscaped grounds, a children's play area and small farm animals to meet. The house is decorated with a tree and decorations at Christmas, short breaks run all year round, and stag, hen and birthday groups are accepted.
Leominster is five miles away, with the station the same distance, and there is a dog friendly pub within five miles along with country pubs, restaurants and cafes within ten. The Black and White Villages Trail makes a fine drive through timber framed villages such as Pembridge, Weobley and Eardisland, and Hereford is an easy trip for its cathedral, Mappa Mundi and cider museum. Berrington Hall, Hampton Court Castle, Stockton Bury Gardens, Ralph Court Gardens, Queenswood Country Park and Arboretum, Newbridge Farm Park and Small Breeds Farm Park are all close, with Ludlow Castle, Stokesay Castle and the Shropshire Hills to the north. The Malvern Hills give the best walking within half an hour. Falconry, golf, horse riding, hiking, nature walks and forest bathing are all available locally, and the calendar includes the Ludlow Food Festival, the Three Counties Show, Ledbury Poetry Festival, Bromyard Folk Festival, Lakefest and Nozstock.
