The Cotswold Manor Hall is a Grade II listed seventeenth-century manor set within seventy acres of lawns and parkland about nine miles from Oxford and an hour from London. It sleeps twenty-four in nine bedrooms with seven bathrooms, holds a Gold award and takes up to six dogs and cats. There is a private hot tub, and the whole estate is exclusive to your party.
The house pairs its history with real comfort. There is a stunning conservatory and dining room, both with underfloor heating, seating up to thirty, and a charming historic sitting room with a log-burning stove and a large high-definition television. A big farmhouse kitchen anchors the ground floor, and there are plenty of quiet nooks around the house for escaping with a book. Most bedrooms have televisions, some bedrooms and bathrooms are on the ground floor, which makes the house workable for less able guests, and complimentary wireless broadband reaches throughout. A games room, and a separate games barn, hold a pool table, snooker, table tennis and table football.
Outside there is a private walled and secure garden with furniture and benches, a patio and balcony, a barbecue and the private hot tub, with ample free parking adjacent. The grounds are dark-sky friendly and, usefully for nervous dogs, a fireworks-free location, and the house is decorated with a tree at Christmas. A cot and high chair are available and towels and bed linen are provided.
Guests are given exclusive Privilege Guest status at the nearby Witney Lakes Resort, giving discounted rates, subject to pre-booking, on the Retreat Spa with its beauty, facial and body treatments, indoor heated pool, hot tub, gym, sauna, steam room and fitness centre, along with the eighteen-hole par 71 golf course. A Cotswold pub and restaurant is a short walk away, and private catering can be arranged with recommended caterers. Blenheim Palace, Minster Lovell Hall, Cogges Manor Farm, the Cotswold Wildlife Park, Crocodiles of the World and the Thames Path are all nearby, and Oxford, with the Ashmolean, the Radcliffe Camera, the Botanic Gardens and the Pitt Rivers, is twenty minutes; Hanborough has the nearest station. The house takes stag and hen groups, birthdays, family reunions, celebration dinners and corporate events.
