About Partridge
Partridge is a one-bedroom barn conversion at Wheatacre Hall Barns, set on a farm on the Norfolk and Suffolk border along the Waveney Valley, just outside the southern Norfolk Broads and about five miles from Beccles. It sleeps two, holds a five-star rating with a Gold award and takes one dog. It is all on one floor.
The open-plan living area has sumptuous leather sofas, a television and an iPod dock, along with a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, freezer and coffee maker, and a dining area seating four. Underfloor heating runs throughout. The master bedroom has a lavish super-king bed that can be split into twins on request, and the bathroom is the surprise: a spa bath with its own television for a long soak, plus a separate shower.
Outside is a private patio garden with furniture and a barbecue looking over farmland, and it is a very good spot to watch the sun go down. Parking is ample and private, there is an electric car charging point, and free bicycle hire is available for the country lanes.
The site's shared facilities are unusually good for a one-bedroom let: a hot tub, a gym, a play barn for very young children, and a games room with a pool table, table tennis, table football and air hockey. Good walks run around the farm, there is fishing available, and the area is dark-sky friendly. A dog-friendly pub is a short walk away. Beccles, five miles off, has the well-known Beccles Lido for outdoor swimming with a quiet cafe and a play area beside it, and the nearest station. The Norfolk Broads are close and best explored by boat, Lowestoft and its beach are about thirteen miles, and Africa Alive, Pleasurewood Hills and Great Yarmouth are all within reach. A cot, high chair, stairgate and welcome pack are provided.
