Teal is a barn conversion forming part of Wheatacre Hall Barns, a group of eight self-contained holiday properties on a working farm close to the Norfolk and Suffolk border. The setting is rural and quiet, in a village on the southern edge of the Broads National Park, with views across surrounding fields and farmland. The barn has three bedrooms and three bathrooms and sleeps up to six, with a cot and high chair available for younger guests. One dog is welcome. Original features such as exposed beams have been retained, and the property holds a VisitBritain gold award. The market town of Beccles, with its railway station, lies around five miles away.
The living space is open plan, combining a seating area with a television and digital channels, a kitchen and a dining table laid for six. The kitchen has an electric cooker with double oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. Of the three bedrooms, one has a king-size bed with an en-suite, and single beds are provided in the others; a family bathroom includes a bath along with a separate shower cubicle, and there is a further shower room. Central heating, a power shower, wifi, bed linen, towels and a welcome pack are all provided. Outside there is an enclosed garden and a patio with a barbecue and garden furniture, together with ample private parking and an electric car charging point. Guests share the on-site leisure facilities, which include an indoor hot tub, a fitness barn and a games room equipped for pool, air hockey, table football and table tennis. Children have swings, football goal posts and giant Jenga, and bicycles are available to borrow at no charge.
The barn suits families, couples and small groups, including hen, birthday and anniversary gatherings. Farm tracks and quiet lanes are good for walking and cycling, there is a bird watching area and a designated spot for stargazing under dark skies, and fishing, golf, horse riding, boating, kayaking and paddle boarding can all be arranged nearby. A dog-friendly pub is within a short walk, with further pubs, restaurants and cafes in Beccles. Days out include the Broads National Park, Norwich Cathedral, Africa Alive, Pleasurewood Hills, RSPB Minsmere, Snape Maltings and the beaches at Southwold, Walberswick and Gorleston-on-Sea.
Bed linen is provided for every bed.
Additional charges: No additional cleaning fees.
