Woodcock is a three-bedroom barn conversion on a working farm near Beccles, set within the rural landscape where Norfolk meets Suffolk and close to the waterways of the Broads National Park. It is one of eight self-contained holiday properties at Wheatacre Hall Barns, a quiet village location surrounded by fields and farmland. The barn sleeps three to six people in three bedrooms, with one king-size bed and two single beds, served by two bathrooms including an en-suite with a power shower. Original features and exposed beams have been retained, and the property holds a VisitBritain gold award.
The open-plan living space keeps the sitting, cooking and dining areas together, with a dining table seating six, a TV with digital channels and wifi throughout. The kitchen has an electric cooker with a double oven and hob, a dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. Central heating runs throughout, and bed linen, towels and a welcome pack are provided, with a cot and high chair available for younger guests. Outside there is an enclosed garden with a patio and barbecue, along with ample private parking and an electric car charging point. Shared facilities on the site include an indoor hot tub, a fitness barn and a games room equipped with air hockey, a pool table, table football and table tennis, plus a children's playpark with swings and football goalposts. Bicycles are available free of charge, and there are board games indoors for quieter evenings.
The barn suits families and small groups, including gatherings for birthdays, anniversaries and hen parties, and one dog is welcome. Footpaths lead around the farm, the lanes are suitable for cycling, and fishing is possible on site. The area has designated spots for bird watching and stargazing, with dark skies overhead. A dog-friendly pub is within a mile, a short walk away, and Beccles, about five miles off, has further pubs, restaurants, shops and the nearest railway station. Days out include the Broads for boating and canoeing, Southwold Pier, Walberswick and Gorleston-on-Sea beaches, RSPB Minsmere, Framlingham Castle, Africa Alive, Pleasurewood Hills and Snape Maltings, along with historic market towns, flint churches and antique shops across both counties.
Bed linen is provided for every bed.
